Haresh Luthria

Haresh Luthria is a Managing Director at Falcon Capital Advisors and has over 25 years of experience in the FinTech industry and brings a diverse set of skills and experiences to the company. He started his career as a software developer and has built his skillset working across all phases of the software development lifecycle and leading various development initiatives, large and small. His experience is rounded off by hands-on leadership in business architecture and business operations in the secondary mortgage market. He spearheads Falcon’s product management and technology solutions for clients’ complex business problems.

Mr. Luthria’s extensive experience in the FinTech world started off at S.W.I.F.T. as a key member of the software development team building the SWIFTII network, progressing on to head the Integration and Acceptance initiative. He was a critical part of enabling the release of the SWIFTII system supporting worldwide the secure, high-speed, transfer of financial transactions. At Freddie Mac, he led the technical strategy and engineering group setting up their Internet infrastructure supporting, amongst other projects, the migration of the underwriting application LoanProspector to the web. As Senior Director at Freddie Mac, Mr. Luthria led the software development for the eMortgage technology strategy group. Subsequently, as Group CTO at Emergis, Mr. Luthria headed a 100+ member software development team and was responsible for the product and systems development of the eLending applications supporting the digital mortgage initiative at Freddie Mac. Mr. Luthria also worked in international markets for S.W.I.F.T. in the Netherlands and Belgium, as well as S.I.R.C.A., a securities research organization in Sydney, Australia. Prior to joining Falcon in early 2021, Mr. Luthria was at CSS, working closely with the GSEs and CSS’ teams as a key member of the business architecture team, and was also responsible for the product management of a suite of operational tools to support the CSP platform. Mr. Luthria holds a doctorate in Information Systems Management from the Australian School of Business, his research focusing on the organizational impact of adopting SOA (service-oriented architecture) as an enterprise initiative. As part of this effort, he spent time embedded in the emerging technology initiatives of several financial institutions (banks, insurance, and service providers) in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and India. He has published his research as peer-reviewed articles in journals and presented his results at international technical conferences.
